Food Photographer
Food That Sells Itself.
From the planning call to channel-ready delivery, every food photographer commission is handled with intention. I take time to understand the menu, the room, and the guest the imagery is aimed at, so the shoot itself stays calm in the kitchen and focused on the dishes that need to do the most work. Serving restaurants and hospitality brands across London, Ontario, Toronto, and the rest of the province with food photography built to actually sell.

BENEFITS
Why It Makes a Difference
Menu-First Pre-Production
Before the kitchen plates a thing, we map the dishes, the styling direction, and the order of service. The groundwork is what separates considered restaurant photography from a session that arrives, eats up the kitchen, and leaves with the wrong frames.
Pro-Grade Equipment
From full-frame cameras and macro lenses to portable continuous lighting and reflectors, every piece of gear is chosen for fast, flattering food photography that holds up at menu print size and full-screen on a phone.
Efficient Kitchen Workflow
I work shoulder-to-shoulder with chefs and front-of-house, batching dishes by station so service is not disrupted. The result is calm, fast menu photography that respects the rhythm of a working kitchen instead of shutting it down.
Intentional Post-Production
Colour grading, dish cleanup, and selective retouching are handled with restraint. Every plate still looks like the plate, sharper and more appetising, never edited into something the kitchen cannot replicate.
Polished Final Delivery
Final food photos are delivered in crops sized for menus, websites, third-party delivery platforms, and social. A structured review round is built in so every dish lands ready for the channels it needs to live on.
Story-First Direction
Whether the brief is full menu photography for a relaunch or focused food photography services for a campaign, every frame is shaped around the role the image needs to play, on the page, on a screen, and in front of a hungry guest.
How it Works
Great food photography happens in service of the menu, not in spite of it. Here is what working together looks like, from first call to final delivery.
PLANNING & PREP
The work starts the moment you reach out. We talk through the menu, the dishes that matter most, the styling direction, and the channels the photos need to live on, then build a shot list and shoot order with the kitchen. If we are working through service, I plan the timing so coverage does not collide with peak hours.
ON-LOCATION SHOOT
On the day, I set up in a quiet corner of the room or the prep kitchen and work dish by dish. Full-frame cameras and macro lenses do the technical work while I stage and adjust each plate before it cools, which is the difference between studio-looking food photography and the kind that screams reheated.
EDITING & DELIVERY
After the shoot, every selected frame goes through careful colour grading, dish cleanup, and considered retouching. Final restaurant photography is delivered in crops for menus, websites, and social, alongside a structured review round so the dishes go to print and channels exactly the way you signed them off.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to hire a food photographer?
The cost to hire a food photographer is shaped by how many dishes need coverage, whether shoots happen on-location or in a studio, the styling involved, and where the images will be used. A focused menu photography session is priced very differently from a full campaign with food styling. Every quote is itemised so you can see what shoot, edit, and licensing each cost.
What's included in a menu or restaurant photography package?
Every menu photography or restaurant photography package includes a pre-shoot planning call, an on-location session built around your kitchen schedule, full editing, and delivery of crops sized for menus, websites, and social. Add-ons such as light food styling, drink photography, or interior frames of the restaurant are scoped at booking so the day stays on plan.
How many dishes can be photographed in one session?
A focused four-hour food photography session typically covers 12 to 20 dishes, depending on plating complexity and how quickly the kitchen can sequence orders. Full menu shoots covering 30 to 50 dishes are scheduled across a longer day or split over two visits. The pre-shoot call confirms a realistic shot count before the kitchen is asked to plate anything.
Do you shoot on-location at the restaurant or in a studio?
Both. On-location food photography at the restaurant is usually best because the kitchen plates dishes the way it actually serves them, and the room itself becomes part of the storytelling. Studio sessions suit packaged products, brand campaigns, and food photography services where styling and lighting need full control.
What's the turnaround time on edited food photos?
Edited galleries are delivered within one to two weeks of the shoot. If you need fast turnaround for a menu launch, a delivery platform onboarding, or a campaign, that can be arranged at booking. A structured review round is built in so dishes go to print and to channels signed off, not stuck in another round of revisions.
Can the photos be used across menus, websites, and social media?
Yes. Every food photographer near me search should end with someone who delivers final images sized for menu print, website, delivery platforms, and social. Crops and aspect ratios are produced in the same edit pass so a single menu photography session can feed every channel the restaurant needs without paying for separate shoots.
